About Centoic

We’re making education planning simpler and smarter for families through focused guidance and technology-powered solutions that keep you in control.

Why Centoic?

With thousands of investment advisors out there, why start another one? At Centoic, we focus on a specific need: education planning. Traditional advisors might take a broad approach to wealth management, with education savings being just a small part of their services.

Their fee structures usually require significant assets under management, making their services less accessible for families focused primarily on saving for education. Robo-advisors can offer lower fees, but they often lack the personalized guidance that families need.

We believe that families deserve clear, specific advice on saving for education, without the added cost of money management. As discussed in our Form ADV Part 2A (Item 5), our model avoids fees that are based on assets under management.

Note that these observations are based on general industry trends and individual experiences may vary. We always encourage reviewing Form ADV disclosures for any advisor.

What Makes Us Different

A Focus on Guidance for Education

We don’t manage your money. Instead, we charge flat advisory fees to help you plan, save, and invest specifically for education. We provide non-discretionary advice you implement in your own accounts, as detailed in our Form ADV Part 2A (Item 4). Note that our guidance on tax-advantaged vehicles like 529 plans is for educational purposes only and not a substitute for personalized tax advice.

Technology-Powered Solutions

We’re creating our own software and data systems to provide high-quality advice efficiently and affordably, in compliance with our fiduciary obligations (see our Form ADV Part 2A, Item 8). From 20 years of experience in technology and financial services, we’ve learned there’s a lot we can do to make the advisory experience easier for families.

Empowering Clients With Knowledge

We’re here to help you become more informed about your financial choices. Our goal is to guide you through not only the steps to take but also the reasons behind them and how investments work.

Our Mission

Centoic empowers families to confidently plan and save for their children’s education without surrendering control of their money or paying fees based on assets under management.

Our Approach

At Centoic, we’ve built our services around three core principles:

You Keep Control

Your money stays in your own accounts at the institutions you choose. We provide the roadmap and guidance, but you implement the plan yourself. This approach keeps you engaged, reduces costs, and ensures you always maintain full control.

Transparent Pricing

We charge for our time and expertise, not a percentage of your savings. Whether you work with an advisor on a project basis or subscribe to our app, you’ll always know exactly what you’re paying and why. No hidden fees, no conflicts of interest, no commissions.

Education-Focused Expertise

Unlike general financial advisors who handle everything from retirement to estate planning, we’re 100% focused on education savings. This specialization means we stay current on college costs, financial aid strategies, 529 plan options, and tax-advantaged education savings vehicles.
